Peachy Keen Inspiration Shoot

We're feeling Peachy Keen over this inspiration shoot we created for a birth announcement/welcome home party! A gray, white and peach color palette make this suite both modern and soft. We kept things whimsical with our custom drawn peach illustration used throughout the suite and décor. Paper pennants on straws float in peach-infused champagne for the parents and a mix of fresh and candy peaches were there for the kiddies.

We added some sparkly vintage magic to the room with a custom backdrop made of old book pages, our peach pattern and a custom pennant. This customized (and easy to make *tutorial coming soon*) backdrop, is an extra special keepsake that can be recycled as art in her nursery after the party!

Matching thank you cards complete the suite. We can't think of a cuter way to say “Thanks” than with a note that reads “You're a Peach.

Would you throw a Peachy Keen party? Have some more wonderful ideas to add? Comment below...we'd love to hear from you!

All of our work is custom made, so if you're interested in a Peachy Keen birth announcement, party invitation or just want to send adorable thank you cards for any occasion, please contact us here for a custom quote.

Paper Lace: For the Love of the Doily

Long gone are the days where the primary use for doilies was on a plastic catering tray. Paper lace is a growing trend in the crafting and event world, and we are embracing it with open arms! The gorgeous details and shapes provide a wonderful and affordable canvas for one-of-a-kind crafts and embellishments. Below are some simple and quick projects that are sure to add a sparkle of elegance!

1. Dye your doilies to match your color palate. Pastel hues are shown here...but any color using simple food coloring preps these doilies for a million different creative uses. Source

2. Gift wrap. Using double stick tape, fold and secure a doily over a simply wrapped gift. Tie with bakers twine or pretty ribbon for an extra finishing touch. Source

3. Tea Dyed calligraphy menus. Grab some tea bags, dye your doilies and write away! So elegant and easy. Source

4. Doily cones are a great way to hold rose petals (for a flower girl) or candy for favors. Fold a round doily in half and roll like a cone. Staple or use double sided tape to secure the ends. Viola! Source

5. Doily Garland. find you favorite doilies, and start stringing. Use a needle and heavy thread. Sew through the paper to make the shapes pucker, crumple or layer the doilies to get your unique doily strand. This is perfect backdrop for any wedding, dessert table or photobooth! Source

6. A quick and easy way to embellish a wedding program. Using the ribbon of your choice, tie a bow around your program or booklet. Secure the ribbon with hot glue near the spine of the program. Fold a doily over the spine to cover the ribbon and secure with hot glue or double sided tape. Beautiful! Source

What creative uses have you found for doilies? Comment and share with us.

We Heart Monogrammed Stationery

There are a million reasons why we love monogrammed stationery, but we think our number one reason is the personalization factor. From font choice to liner pattern and everything in between, custom monogrammed stationery can really show off your personality. We recently had the pleasure of designing something special for our dear friend, Kyle. Being a dapper young man living in the big apple, personalized custom stationery is a must! A masculine monogram with a touch of Rococo style, printed on luxurious Italian deckle edge paper is the outcome of this creative challenge.

Guest Post: Cakes like Paper

Hello! I'm Nikki Rappaport, a close friend of Suite Paperie's and I blog over at Cupcakes for Breakfast about desserts, design and all things pretty. I love both cake and paper goods so I wanted to share with you how the two can collide. A party's theme should carry through every detail– from the invitation to the sweet celebrations. This can be done subtly or through full out imitation. Below are some beautiful cakes inspired by some of my favorite paper trends – chevron, ombre, doodles, watercolor, monograms, and lace. I don't know what the invitations looked like for these weddings, but can you just imagine?
Stay tuned for some more dessert/paper collaborations!

Baseball Themed Bar-Mitzvah: Escort Card Table

We had the pleasure of designing all of the paper goods for this baseball themed Bar Mitzvah. This post, photographed by the talented Shulamit Seidler-Feller, is all about the escort card table: vintage baseball card table runner, game ticket cards, peanuts, baseballs and bubblegum!
Here's how we did it: Wooden trays, both flat and raised, were placed on top of a table runner made entirely of vintage baseball cards! Tickets to "Cory's Bar Mitzvah" were placed on top of paper grass (this stuff is brilliant and really easy to use), individually wrapped pieces of bubblegum, and peanuts. Long and low vases filled halfway with peanuts and then topped with baseballs, added extra detail to the table.
